LANDMARK TRUST: Cawood Castle in North Yorkshire - June 2010 (Built circa 1370)

This is all that remains of Cawood Castle, once a stronghold of the Archbishops of York. We had amazing weather and the views from the roof are breathtaking, especially at sunset. Whilst in residence, we had impromtu visitors from Canada in search of their Cawood ancestry, so we showed them around 'our house' but did the honest thing and told them the truth that we didn't actually own the place! The Landmark Trust have done an amazing job taking such an old building and making it habitable for humans and dogs today.
